Terri's Nature Journaling Journey

I fell in love with nature journaling back in 2020 after reading The Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journaling by John Muir Laws. It was wonderful to discover something that combined all of my passions into one simple and fulfilling activity. Journaling in my own backyard became my solace during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, and I soon wanted to share the joy of curiosity, discovery, and connection it brought me with others. In 2024 I completed the Wild Wonder Foundation's Nature Journaling Educator training program and also became a certified OSU Extension Service Master Gardener Volunteer in order to better share my knowledge and passions for art, writing, and gardening with my community. I now teach art and nature journaling classes for both adults and grade school students and am involved in many gardening-related volunteer activities such as speaking engagements, educational events, and helping to maintain local learning gardens.
